I really want to get one for the same reason you mentioned (console not directly in front of me), but I’ve bought two N64 wireless Retro Fighters controllers in the past with terrible luck: one drifted with every game and the other died within a month. Really want the black one but can’t help that I’m worried. Maybe 3rd time’s a charm?

The audio works only from one sound out put

I actually have this controller and it worked on a most of my games. Fighters like SoulCalibur and Ready 2 Rumble were excellent, played through Toy Commander and Rayman 2 like a charm, and Virtua Tennis worked great. Driving games with that controller are mixed for me. 18 Wheeler, Super Runabout, Demolition Racer, and Looney Tunes Space Race were still playable. But Crazy Taxi just did not work for me. And I wouldn't recommend playing both Sonic Adventure games with that controller. I don't know if it was my thumb or if the analog stick was acting up, but when I tried to move forward, my character veers slightly to the left. So the controller for me IMO worked for SoulCalibur, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing 1 and 2, Toy Commander, Rayman 2, Sega Bass Fishing, ChuChu Rocket, Virtua Tennis, and Looney Tunes Space Race. I didn't test Jet Set Radio because I was unable to load the game.

Played this today after not playing for years. Feels soooooo good with the arcade stick and looks gorgeous on a CRT (s-video).

While Sega GT on the Dreamcast certainly has problems, it was 2nd best selling Dreamcast racer overall (only Sega Rally 2 sold more). It was actually the best selling DC racer in the USA! So in terms of units sold, it knocked higher regarded DC racers like MSR, Test Drive Le Mans, Ferrari F355 Challenge into a cocked hat!
